Ford F-150

This Ford F-150 came into Truxx Outfitters for six upgrades that give it a more distinctive look and make it more practical for everyday use. The Pirelli tires and Husky fender flares make the wheel openings stand out, while the Go Rhino sport bar adds height behind the cab and changes the truck’s profile from the side and rear. Once the sun goes down, ORACLE rock lights cast a glow beneath the truck, bringing out details that are easy to miss in daylight. The other two upgrades are ones the owner will appreciate on an ordinary day. XPEL ceramic window tint helps cut down on heat and glare during sunny North Texas drives, and a Truxx spray-in bed liner gives the cargo area a textured surface that helps protect it from scrapes when tools, coolers, or weekend gear slide across the bed. From the first walk around the truck to the next time the owner loads it up, each upgrade has a purpose.

Pirelli Tires and Husky Fender Flares

The Pirelli tires set the tone for this Ford F-150 build, and the Husky fender flares frame them with a more pronounced edge around each wheel opening. You can see the difference most clearly from the side, where the flares give the truck a more substantial profile. They also add coverage around the tires, helping shield the body from some of the dirt and road spray they kick up. That extra coverage comes in handy when the truck sees a mix of wet pavement, gravel driveways, and dusty job sites.

Go Rhino Sport Bar and ORACLE Rock Lights

The Go Rhino sport bar adds height just behind the cab, giving the Ford F-150 a distinct silhouette from the side and rear. It changes the shape of the truck above the bed, where the factory lines are otherwise fairly simple. The ORACLE rock lights add a detail you’ll notice after dark, casting light onto the ground beneath and around the Ford F-150. The glow highlights the lower profile of the Ford F-150 and can make it easier to see where you’re stepping when you’re parked at a campsite or unloading in a dim driveway.

XPEL Ceramic Window Tint

We installed XPEL ceramic window tint to give the glass a clean, finished look and help reduce solar heat and glare inside the cab. It’s the kind of upgrade you feel on an ordinary drive, especially when the afternoon sun is coming in through the side windows. In North Texas, where a truck can spend hours parked in direct sunlight, reducing the heat coming through the glass can make the cab more comfortable. The tint also complements the exterior upgrades, giving the windows a finish that fits the rest of the build.

Truxx Spray-In Bed Liner

We finished the cargo area with a Truxx spray-in bed liner to help protect it from the scratches and scuffs that come with regular hauling. Think toolboxes sliding across the bed floor, coolers being pulled toward the tailgate, or gear rubbing against the sides on the way to a job site. The textured coating adds a protective layer over the bed surface and gives the cargo area a uniform finish. It’s an upgrade that makes sense for a truck that might carry tools during the week and camping gear on Saturday.
